Services were held for Pat Sain Smith at El Camino Memorial Park on Tuesday, May 15, 2007 at 10 am. The services were followed by a reception at the Mission Beach Women’s Club at Santa Clara Point on Mission Bay.
Two of Pat’s sons, and her daughter-in-law spoke lovingly of their lives with
her as a mother and mother-in-law. A stay at home mom, Pat spent her time with
her family and hobbies: scrap booking , quilting, and framing pictures, among
them.
Carol Ann Smith Hanen & Nancy Albright Albright , from the class of 1958 and
who had been friends with Pat since her school days, also had memories to share.

The family had a special surprise for those attending the reception. There was a one pound box of See's Candy on each table for us to enjoy. Pat had worked at See's Candy when her kids grew up. She actually worked at the See's Candy Store by "our" Coco's. Her husband, Al, bought $1000.00 worth of See's gift cards at that time, which they used for special gifts. Though he bought them years ago, the cards were still good, and the best part was that they weren't for a certain dollar amount, but for a pound of See's Candy!
Classmates from the class of 1958 that attended , and enjoyed the candy, were:
Orpha Higley, Chuck McGregor & his wife, Betty Waddell Cerney, Sunny Roberts
Ariessohn, Joan Morris Westmoreland, Marie Gilmour Davila & hubby Bob, Margery
Crothers Vanderpool, Carol Ann Smith Hanen & her husband (who came from Arizona
to be here), and Nancy Albright Albright (who came from Hawaii to be here).
Bill Swank was unable to attend, but has written a tribute for Pat Sain Smith.
