It's Over...

What a great day for a picnic.  It started out pretty cool-as in temperature, but by afternoon we were shifting our chairs into the shade of the big tree at our site.  Thanks to Orpha for getting there reallllly early in the morning to get our spot and hang our banner, and for Barbara Grayson & Chrissy Hughes Wagner for coming to keep her company, and incidentally supplying hot coffee, muffins & coffee cakes.  Toward midmorning we started to get a big crowd, and we did what we usually do when we get together: we ate and talked.  Bill Swank took some great pictures (which is how I managed to get in one), I took some, and Ann Greenfield took the last one of the day when almost everyone had left.  Bob & I discussed how much we missed the picnics in Texas with the fire ants, chiggers, and mosquitoes.  Oh, well, you can't have everything.
