JOHN SHACKLETT TO BE HONORED
On February
22, 2010, the San Diego Hall of Champions will honor John Shacklett
as their 2009 Community Champion at the Town & Country Resort &
Convention Center.
John is a regular attendee of the First
Saturday Breakfasts along with wife,
Judi Michael Shacklett from the class of 1958.

Waddell keeps on with her positive attitude and keeps us up too.

I'm about the same and still getting around on my own and not
feeling very bad. The doctors have done an
incredible job of buying me so much time. I'm really impressed!

We had a really large group on Saturday; we
ended up moving tables around and we all fit in together.
At one point Thelma came in after some more classmates had
arrived and she looked startled, and said something that sounded
like "Sugar!". But she put her hand over her mouth, so we
couldn't be sure what she started to say. She did a great
job with the roomful. We had 33 classmates there.

We heard the sad news recently that
the son of David Castle, Michael Castle, passed away, at
the age of 47, on January 7, 2010. Dave (in one of
the above pictures) is one of one of our breakfast
regulars. He is from the class of 1956.
It must be horrible to loose a child of any age, so
please keep Dave in your thoughts and prayers. |
